Position Overview

We are currently on the lookout for a skilled and dependable Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in the Derby region. This role is essential for maintaining the continuity of education during teacher absences.

Key Responsibilities

The appointed individual will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing classroom activities in the absence of the regular instructor, ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
  • Implementing pre-prepared lesson plans and educational resources in accordance with the institution's guidelines.
  • Effectively managing student behavior to foster a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Providing constructive feedback to the regular teacher regarding student performance and any challenges encountered during lessons.
  • Upholding the core values and objectives of the educational institution.
Candidate Requirements

To qualify for the position of Cover Supervisor, candidates should possess:

  • Leadership qualities and the confidence to conduct lessons in the absence of the primary teacher.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for education and a commitment to supporting young learners.
  • A willingness to obtain a DBS check registered with the update service.
  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.

Compensation

Salary will be determined based on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this role includes:

  • Referenceable experience working with children.
