Senior Finance Leader Opportunity

Aveo is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join our team. As a senior leader in our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing treasury transactions, corporate reporting, annual auditing, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inter-entity cash movements between community (village) accounts and corporate accounts.
  • Oversee deficit funding in Aveo villages, subsidies, and unbundling reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead the collation and analysis of budgets, including preparation of monthly variance reports.
  • Coordinate annual audits, financial statements, and maintain relationships with external auditors.
  • Maintain strong banking relationships and ensure all GST transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to your team of two Assistant Accountants and broader finance team members.
  • Partner with Community Managers and Operations teams to deliver clear financial advice and support.
  • Drive finance process improvements, standardisation, and change initiatives across communities.
