About this role:

This is a unique opportunity to launch your career in venture capital and gain exposure to early-stage startups. You'll work alongside outstanding founders as part of a high-performing team that's among the most active VC firms in the region.

The purpose of this role is to identify top potential founders at idea and pre-revenue stage, bring them into our network and enable stellar investment outcomes through assisting founders throughout the investment process and supporting them post-investment with advice, connections and structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to our scouting efforts to find the best founders via content, direct outreach and events
  • Proactively build relationships across universities, founder networks, accelerators, tech communities and online channels

Investments and Portfolio:

  • Drive portfolio operations covering quarterly reporting, post-investment processes & programs
  • Provide advice to founders during residency and assess their investability
  • Support investment committee memo preparation and own processes leading up to IC meetings, e.g. investment documentation
  • Support due diligence and completion process for fund follow-on investments
  • Model out potential scenarios for individual portfolio companies and overall fund modelling

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years professional experience ideally in a startup or as a founder or in a highly analytical environment
  • Plugged into the tech/startup community with an active network
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and financial modelling skills
  • A confident people person with the curiosity and drive to uncover the best potential founders
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable with ambiguity; able to structure and execute multiple processes simultaneously
  • Based in Sydney
