We're seeking a skilled Food & Beverage Attendant to join our dynamic team at YHA Australia.

About the Role:

The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for ensuring the Café runs smoothly by assisting wherever required. The ideal candidate will have a friendly positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and experience as a barista within a fast-paced, premium establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and serving coffee, food, and drinks, including taking orders.
  • Operating a point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine, plus cash handling.
  • Café cleaning duties, including cleaning coffee machines and equipment.
  • Refilling drink fridges and snacks.
  • Maintaining service areas to food safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a barista within a fast-paced, premium establishment (min 2 years).
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.
  • Flexible availability 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • High volume experience, able to work on multiple orders at once.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
