We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled procurement professional to take on the role of Senior Project Buyer, focusing on Signaling and Infrastructure projects across the ANZ region. This position is based in our Perth CBD office and offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to collaborate with a passionate and experienced team.

This role is a fixed-term position for a duration of two years, aimed at supporting one of Alstom's significant signaling initiatives. You will work closely with the project team to facilitate procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations and engage with stakeholders to disseminate relevant information and updates.
  • Prepare and initiate Requests for Quotation with suppliers.
  • Conduct project negotiations in accordance with Australian and UK Standards.
  • Consolidate commodity requirements and inputs.
  • Actively participate in the development of commodity strategies and panels.
  • Support global supplier panel relationships.
  • Manage specific supplier panel relationships, including negotiations and performance evaluations.
  • Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define procurement strategies and assist in make-or-buy decisions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar sourcing or procurement role.
  • Operational knowledge of rail components or design.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience within the railway sector and/or turnkey projects in a comparable industrial environment.
  • A proven track record in managing maintenance projects.
