About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team at Visy Paper Mill 4 in Campbellfield VIC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of engineering best practices to increase overall plant efficiency.

With a strong understanding of paper making best practices, you will utilize your expertise to develop proactive and preventative maintenance initiatives, investigate failures using Root Cause Analysis techniques, and design and implement corrective and preventive solutions to eliminate the cause or reduce the likelihood of failure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead excellence in plant condition monitoring through participation/auditing of mechanical rounds completion and quality.
  • Develop proactive and preventative maintenance initiatives through implementation of engineering analysis of plant performance.
  • Investigate failures using Root Cause Analysis techniques, design and implement corrective and preventive solutions to eliminate the cause or reduce the likelihood of failure.
  • Facilitate JSEA and risk assessments with internal staff and external contractors.
  • Understand and adhere to all Visy management systems, policies, and procedures, and other regularity body requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical) with minimum 3 years postgraduate experience.
  • Experience in a 24/7 heavy manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, proactive problem-solving with a solution-focused approach.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Flexibility for on-call (rostered).
