Cyber Security Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for leading the implementation of cyber security strategies and providing expert technical advice to protect government data.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust cyber security posture through provision of expert technical guidance and direction.
  • Perform in-depth assessments of information and cyber security controls and vulnerabilities to produce compliance reports and recommended actions.
  • Provide expertise on information and cyber security risks, threat and vulnerability reports, penetration test reports, solution architecture designs.
  • Review outcomes of security breaches to ensure compliance with whole-of-government cyber security policies and standards.
  • Develop Cyber Security governance reporting, standards and assurance assessments.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current and future NSW cyber security environment, including threats and vulnerabilities to information, assets and services. You will also have strong cyber governance, assurance and reporting experience, preferably in a government environment.
