Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Head Chef to join our team at Compass Group Pty Limited. As a key member of our culinary operations team, you will be responsible for managing large-scale production for catering, events, and multiple outlets, focusing on efficiency and maintaining quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for large-scale events and catering operations
• Develop and implement menus and meal plans that cater to dietary and cultural requirements
• Prepare and submit reports to the Executive Chef and Operational Team on production, inventory, and quality control
• Develop and execute weekly rosters and work schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels aligned with business demands
• Implement catering control procedures, including portion control, stock control, and food storage
• Cost menus to meet enterprise budgetary constraints

Requirements

• Trade qualified chef with a minimum of four (4) years of documented work experience
• Proven track record in successfully leading and managing teams within a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Previous experience in menu and nutrition planning, with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and productivity
• Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining operational excellence
• Strong presentation and communication skills in English, adept at conveying directives and fostering teamwork
• Availability for flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
