Perth Site Reliability Engineering Lead

Talent Perth, Western Australia is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to lead a team of reliability professionals.
This role involves overseeing incident response and implementing ongoing service improvements to enhance system availability, performance, and efficiency.
The successful candidate will work closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of resilient, robust services.
As part of a forward-looking national program, you will contribute to strategic goals that support the wellbeing of Australians.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-performing services.
- Oversee incident response and implement ongoing service improvements.
- Align technical delivery with strategic objectives in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Drive enhancements in monitoring, automation, and engineering standards.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace or Splunk.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g. SPL, SQL, Python, DQL).
- Cloud experience across AWS and Azure.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams in SRE or infrastructure operations.
- Strong incident management and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to define and enforce engineering standards and governance.
- A flexible hybrid work model (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH).
- Strong potential for a 12-month extension.
