About the Role:

Nova Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of our software solutions. As a key member of our technical team, you will contribute to the development of our architecture and lead the implementation of cloud-first solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of software solutions using modern languages, frameworks, and database technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff to develop and implement cloud-first solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
  • Lead small teams of developers using Agile methodologies.
  • Prepare technical documentation and contribute to the development of solution architecture documents.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to confirm requirements and provide technical input.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support and estimation of services work.
  • Share knowledge and mentor staff to develop and improve our software development capability.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior software engineering role leading multiple developers.
  • Advanced full-stack software development and coding skills using modern languages, frameworks, and database technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing cloud-first solutions using contemporary cloud platform approaches.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and scripting languages.
