Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in mid-large scale organisations or Public Sector organisations.

This role involves data processing and working as part of the Procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices received by Council for payment through the Accounts Payable system, in accordance with Council policies.

Northern Suburbs Role

This role involves end-to-end Accounts Payable tasks. We are seeking candidates with considerable knowledge of accounts payable processes and sound knowledge of relevant legislation.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve amounts shown as being outstanding from previous statements.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation and ageing reports of creditors.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary education or similar with an accounting major.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable functions with large ERP systems.
  • Experience in corporate accounting environments, with a preference for direct experience in local government, health, education, or not-for-profit sectors.
