This vital position plays a key part in delivering exceptional patient care at our medical facility. As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will perform routine x-ray examinations and operate radiologic equipment while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during exams.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, clearly explain the process, and assist with positioning body parts for high-quality images.
- Operate advanced radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images.
- Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and colleagues.
- Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and follow thorough documentation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations, take vital signs, and conduct ancillary testing when necessary.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and treatments.
- Carry out routine medical procedures as directed by treating clinicians.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology and state certification.
- Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and active certification.
