Academic Talent Pool - Business - IFY

UNSW Business School invites applications for casual academic positions in the redesigned Bachelor of Commerce, which features an integrated first-year curriculum that combines contemporary business themes and interdisciplinary approaches to teaching.

The IFY introduces broad business content, contemporary business skills, and essential career development activities to enable students to explore business opportunities, problems, and issues through the lens of all disciplines.

To effectively deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and online tutorials and workshops that are "integrated," innovative, and collaboratively taught across disciplines, we seek enthusiastic and experienced sessional/casual academics who:

  • Care about and genuinely enjoy helping others progress through their life and learning journeys
  • Have experience and demonstrated interests in coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitating
  • Thrive in collaborative environments to build solutions that create value
  • Are personally motivated to complete job-related administrative tasks

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in face-to-face, hybrid, and online tutorials and workshops

Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to develop and implement integrated curriculum and teaching approaches

Contribute to the development of assessment and evaluation strategies that align with the IFY curriculum

Provide feedback and support to students to enhance their learning outcomes

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning skills

Perform other duties as required

Selection Criteria:

Relevant teaching and learning experience in business and commerce

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt to changing curriculum and teaching requirements

Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Working rights in Australia and an Australian bank account
