Swim Teacher Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swim Teacher to join our team at the Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre.

This is a casual role that involves developing and delivering lesson plans to promote swimming skill building in school-aged children. You will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of your students. This may include structuring activities that challenge and develop their swimming and water safety skills, recommending students for level progression as appropriate, and teaching effective problem-solving skills and conflict resolution techniques.

As a Swim Teacher, you will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. While experience in teaching or coaching roles is a bonus, it is not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far in this role.

Requirements
  • Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)
  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
