Position Overview
The Testing and Commissioning Engineer will be engaged in a maximum-term contract based in Perth, Western Australia. This role focuses on deploying software on CBTC systems and will involve occasional travel for testing activities.
- Draft and assess technical documentation, including test plans, specifications, procedures, and reports.
- Formulate the testing program and synchronize activities with various stakeholders to meet quality, time, and budget objectives.
- Oversee testing operations and coordinate with train control, onboard, and wayside testing teams.
- Devise testing methodologies and conduct both static and dynamic tests on all trainsets as per the established test procedures.
- Address and manage all faults and issues identified during the testing phase, collaborating with project experts and contractors for effective resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in Test & Commissioning (T&C) activities, particularly with CBTC systems for signalling projects.
- Strong communication skills, particularly over radio, with the ability to resolve issues and follow instructions from the Test Management Centre.
- Experience in client interaction and collaboration with technical teams.
- Proven ability to establish rapport with suppliers, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, specifically in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science.
