Laboratory Technician ICP Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our team at ALS Limited, a global leader in scientific testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company and legislative standards for analytical procedures, as well as other duties such as equipment calibration, consumable stock control, and raising anomalies for investigation.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with the ALS Quality Work Instructions, including QA/QC.
- Organise designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies.
- Ensure that all tasks and analyses are performed within both the time set down by the supervisor and the relevant analysis standard.
- Raise anomalies in results, sample type, sample matrix interference section Team Leader or Supervisor for investigation.
- Perform housekeeping duties as required.
- Calibrate equipment as required by the Section Team Leader and/or the QC Coordinator.
- Perform calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.
- Control consumable stock required for the tasks performed.
- Complete proficiency activities as required at applicable sites.
- Other duties, as requested, relating to this position.
- At least 2 years ICP-OES and ICP-MS experience.
- An understanding of safety precautions necessary while working with samples of unknown hazard.
- Good chemical knowledge.
- Excellent organisational skills.
