Lead Radiology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Grade 4 General X-Ray Supervisor to lead our radiology team in Western Health.
About the RoleThis temporary position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with advanced clinical knowledge in general X-ray, fluoroscopy, theatre imaging, and mobile radiography. As a Lead Radiology Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the general X-ray department, providing clinical guidance and support to radiology staff, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily operations of the general X-ray department, ensuring smooth workflows and efficient use of resources.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and support to radiology staff, promoting high-quality patient care and best practice.
- Collaborate with medical teams to optimize imaging services, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Oversee research projects, ensuring adherence to protocols and timelines, and provide guidance on data analysis and interpretation.
- Advanced clinical knowledge in general X-ray, fluoroscopy, theatre imaging, and mobile radiography.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in a supervisory role, with a strong track record of success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in radiology, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
