Job Title: Hospital Leadership Opportunity
About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as General Manager at one of NSW's most important regional hospitals.
This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a high-performing facility and drive innovative, patient-centred healthcare.
You will hold full accountability for the strategic direction, operational management, and service delivery at the hospital, ensuring safe, high-quality care for every patient.
You will also lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services to meet current and future needs of the community, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and aligning with district-wide performance and reform initiatives.

The hospital is a major referral, teaching, and trauma facility within the Hunter New England Local Health District, serving a large and diverse regional population.
We offer a range of acute and specialist services, including emergency, surgical, medical, maternity, and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve healthcare services and outcomes
- Lead high-performing teams to deliver quality patient care and achieve district-wide performance targets
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and engage with local communities to understand their needs and preferences
- Collaborate with executive leadership teams to ensure alignment and informed decision-making
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments to drive continuous improvement in healthcare delivery
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in health administration or a related field
- Proven experience in executive health service management or equivalent senior leadership roles
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and manage complexity
- Strategic planning and financial management expertise, with the ability to deliver against KPIs and manage large operating and capital budgets
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at local, district, and state levels
