Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse
Job Description:This position supports a joint program in Alice Springs, Australia. The successful candidate will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below.
The organization seeks an experienced Senior Registered Nurse dedicated to delivering top-quality patient care. The candidate should have a strong clinical background and a commitment to excellence, with skills in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and coordinating care in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administrative needs of clinics.
- Liaise with technical representatives regarding clinic administration.
- Apply professional nursing principles, procedures, and techniques to patient care.
- Utilize clinical skills and compassion to deliver exceptional care.
- Make quick, informed decisions in fast-paced environments to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Understand healthcare protocols, patient assessment, and care planning.
- Manage complex cases effectively.
- Precept and mentor junior staff, including training and teaching.
- Develop rapport with patients and colleagues through interpersonal skills.
- Perform laboratory procedures, including sample collection.
- Provide routine, urgent, and emergency care.
- Triage patients and provide medical advice within scope of practice.
- Check blood pressure, perform EKGs, draw blood, and collect urine samples.
- Manage correspondence and reports related to laboratory and x-ray results.
- Maintain clinic environments suitable for patient care.
- Manage sterilization equipment and utility rooms.
- Complete organizational compliance training as required by regulatory bodies.
Essential Skills:
- Strong leadership and clinical skills; effective team collaboration.
- Expertise in clinical practice with a patient-centered approach.
- Excellent communication skills and empathetic demeanor.
Work Experience:
- At least five (5) years as a registered/licensed nurse.
- At least three (3) years supervising and evaluating nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in Australia.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Current CPR certification.
