The Opportunity

We are seeking a Digital Transformation Lead - Legal Services to join our new, global, Digital Legal Delivery practice to be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a 12 month maximum term contract.

This role offers a unique opportunity to play a lead role on a range of digital projects bringing together multidisciplinary teams and consulting with stakeholders across the business to drive towards optimal digital solutions for the firm.

Our Digital Legal Delivery team combines the best analytical legal minds backed by investments in cutting-edge tools and technologists. We deliver a holistic response to clients and support businesses needing invention and fresh thinking from their legal advisers alongside the technical excellence you expect from a leading global law firm.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the delivery of digital projects, as part of the firm's Digital Change team, playing a major role in delivering the firm's Digital Ambition. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering successful outcomes on digital projects that have a scale, positive impact on the firm; this requires the application of an analytical mindset and problem-solving approach to design and develop solutions.
  • Collaborating closely with business owners to ensure the design meets the needs of the business and identifies and addresses key risks in delivery.
  • Leading and developing high-performing teams to deliver digital projects, providing coaching and support to junior members of the team.
  • Providing strategic input into project governance, regarding the delivery of relevant digital projects and broader input and insights into strategic / prioritisation decisions for the team and the firm.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in digital transformation or a related field with proven track record of leading successful digital transformation initiatives and delivering measurable business impact.
  • A strong understanding of legal processes and associated technology.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a team to deliver successful outcomes in a complex stakeholder environment – to encompass but not limited to problem identification and solution design.
  • Strategic, solution-focused thinker – able to balance a desire for perfection with the need to achieve progress.
  • Proven ability to develop a high-performance team.

Estimated Salary Range

AU$150,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.
