Job Summary:

Offshore Staff Assist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, and casings, to meet customer specifications.
  • Work with a range of materials, including stainless steel, galvanized iron, copper, and aluminum, to produce high-quality products.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the sequence and methods for fabrication and installation.
  • Operate various hand tools and machinery, including shears, brakes, presses, and welding equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with job specifications, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams for seamless work execution.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain sheet metal structures and components to ensure quality and durability.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of direct experience in sheet metal work.
  • Trade qualifications or certifications in sheet metal work or a closely related field.
  • Deep understanding of materials, methods, and tools essential for constructing or repairing metal structures.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and operating in various conditions.
  • Proficiency in English for effective job site communication.
