Experienced Japanese Chef Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Japanese chef/sushi maker to join our kitchen team. Our restaurant offers high-end Japanese dining services with sushi and Teishouku.

About Us

Our modern Japanese restaurant is located in the Rhodes area. We strive for excellence in kitchen operation, menu offering, and service style.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and manage a team of junior chefs
  • Report to head chef/management and take direction as needed
  • Prepare and cook high-quality Japanese dishes, including sushi and Teishouku
  • Train and lead junior chefs to achieve excellent food quality and presentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in modern Japanese cuisine
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to perform various tasks and responsibilities
  • Availability for shift work and flexibility with scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Japanese cuisine/roll maker or sushi train, with a passion for innovation and creativity

Work Requirements

  • Australia work authorisation and ability to obtain any necessary visas
