Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

We are a leading provider of services to the National Disability Insurance Scheme, supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need.

Our multidisciplinary team approach builds a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their families.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide supports to cover NDIS participants living in various areas, including Port Macquarie and surrounding regions.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Your role will involve assisting NDIS participants, their families, and carers to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.

  • Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
  • Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework.
  • Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
  • Building the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered suitable for this role, you will have:

  • Current suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Report writing experience.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
