We are seeking an experienced Logistics Director to lead our APG Express Network in West Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the network's operational efficiency, service quality, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transport operations, processes, compliance, and planning. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth and improve service delivery.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of professionals responsible for managing the APG Express Network, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify new opportunities and expand our share of wallet through provision of service excellence.
  • Communicate strategic priorities to your team, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities in achieving business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Linfox requirements, policies, and procedures at all times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 7 years of experience in transport operations or a related field.
  • Significant experience in leading change and driving strategic goals.
  • Operational experience, with knowledge of transport processes, compliance, and planning.
  • A strong understanding of transportation technology and optimisation tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the transport industry, transport equipment, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Highly advanced Excel skills, data analytics tools, and good competency in general business software.

  • A base salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
