About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Substation Technician to join our team in the construction of projects across rural VIC. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on an 11 on, 3 days off roster, with a Living Away From Home Allowance provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction, inspection, and testing of electrical substations, including incorporated equipment connected to the Electricity Distribution/Transmission Network.
  • Effective operation of plant and equipment associated with the above duties.
  • Completing all tasks to correct industry standards, observing the Safety Act, TransGrid Guidelines, Network Installation Regulations, and OH&S guidelines.

About You

  • Minimum of two years' experience as an A-grade Electrician.
  • Minimum background as an industrial electrician with preferred substation experience.
  • Hold a VIC Electrical Licence, White Card, EWP Ticket, and Dogger.
  • First Aid training.
  • Willingness to travel and work away.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels, including with customers.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • A current driver's licence.
