This position supports the development of capacity within Adult Mental Health & Wellbeing Services to assist consumers with highly complex challenges associated with co-morbid mental health and forensic issues.

The successful candidate will provide primary and secondary consultation regarding identified consumers with mental health and forensic issues, assisting services in developing appropriate recovery and risk mitigation plans. They will also support service development, training, and education on contemporary practice regarding risk assessment and the management of consumers with complex forensic issues.

We are seeking a skilled professional who can deliver high-quality care and develop effective strategies for supporting consumers with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in community psychiatric settings and expertise in assessing psychiatric disorders.

In addition to their clinical skills, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrated clinical competence at a senior level, including in community psychiatric settings">
  • Expertise in assessing psychiatric disorders, including diagnostic, personality, and cognitive assessments">
  • Experience in developing and implementing rehabilitation/recovery plans for dual diagnosis and forensic consumers">
  • Proven ability to deliver psychoeducation to consumers and families">
  • High-level written and oral communication skills and effective multidisciplinary team collaboration">
