Job Opportunity: ILS Technical Writer

Calleo is currently seeking a skilled ILS Technical Writer to join our team within a high-performing Defence Program Office.

The professional writing skills required will ensure all supporting ILS products are delivered and sustained by the high-performing Defence Program Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, organise, write and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals.
  • Research, develop and write Technical Design Specifications.
  • Research, develop and write Technical Manuals.
  • Developing written or visual Product / Process / Technical documentation, Business Process Maps, and User Manuals.
  • Quality Assurance of documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
  • Write complex technical subject matter for a range of stakeholders, including non-technical or executive staff.
  • Ability to develop and update Engineering and ILS documentation, including a range of Technical Management Strategies and Plans, Logistic Plans and Instructions.
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical documents, procedures and manuals.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • A qualified practitioner with relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
  • Certified SAFe Practitioner (mandatory for all COSPO personnel - can be completed upon engagement).
  • Demonstrated strong Technical Writing Skills.
  • Proven experience working in a technical writing position.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  • Australian Defence Force (ADF) experience is highly desirable.
