About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team based in Perth. This role will support in writing technical submissions, procedure manuals, and documentations to aid in tender bids. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to understand project requirements and develop high-quality content.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Researching and outlining content to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences, including clients and stakeholders.
- Managing Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contracts and collaborating with designers and consultants to deliver results.
- Gathering information from subject-matter experts and developing process documentation, technical specifications, and procedure manuals.
- Coordinating with in-house designers and consultants to manage up to 15-30% design.
- Writing construction methodology and project execution plans aligned with project schedules.
- Supporting the pre-contracts team in developing tender strategies and managing deliverables with clients.
- Identifying risks and ensuring they are recorded and accounted for in tender submissions.
- Attending tender reviews with senior management and tracking action items.
- Ensuring timely submission of tenders and responding to queries raised by clients under the guidance of the Pre-Contracts Manager.
- Supporting negotiations with Clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, as required.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
- A strong ability to comprehend and interpret contractual documents, specifications, and drawings.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with at least 3 years of experience in technical writing in the Building & Construction Industry or renewables sector.
- Demonstrated experience in pricing various projects, ideally in renewable energy.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in contract tendering procedures.
We offer a competitive salary ranging from AU$90,000 to AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
