The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Support Officer to join our Inclusive Education Department at our Elizabeth East campus. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position that will focus on supporting primary level students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, working closely with classroom teachers to develop tailored learning plans.
  • Collaborate with the Inclusive Education Coordinator to implement strategies and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest learning support practices and technologies, attending relevant professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or higher in Education Support or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with students who have additional learning needs, with a passion for inspiring students to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms and a commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of Pinnacle College.
