Job Title: Intensive Care Nurse Specialist

About the Role

This challenging role requires a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to provide top-notch patient care in emergency situations.

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively under pressure, think critically, and make sound decisions quickly.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care based on established clinical protocols and physician/provider orders.

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately, reporting changes in condition to the appropriate care team members.

  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects, documenting administration in accordance with standards of practice.

  • Participate in life-saving interventions, such as CPR and code team activities, as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient assessments and needs.

  • Provide education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care, ensuring understanding and adherence to instructions.

  • Implements infection control protocols to prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections.

  • Promote patient safety by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals and maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

  • Document patient care and education thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.

  • Maintain professional development to stay current with clinical competency and nursing standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Current RN licensure

  • Experience in emergency nursing or a related field

  • Knowledge of human growth and development principles and practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
