Caregiver Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centered care in accordance with clients' NDIS plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Offer transportation assistance to clients as needed.
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families, promoting overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in disability care.
Requirements
  • A minimum of high school education or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate II or IV in individual support or willingness to pursue certification (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with diverse client populations, recognizing unique support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic first aid and care skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
