Gold Fields, a leading gold mining company, has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team at the Granny Smith mine in Western Australia.

About the Role

This is a fixed plant maintenance role that requires a strong background in mechanical trade qualifications and experience in maintaining processing plant equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the mill's mechanical systems, performing routine maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have a valid C Class vehicle license, CN crane, dogging, Rigger basic EWP, and Forklift tickets, as well as Confined Space and Working at Heights certifications. A sound understanding of machinery and care of fixed plant equipment is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops and wherever maintenance work is carried out.
  • Ensure the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by practicing preventative maintenance.
  • Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders, and recording of labour time.
  • Be available from time to time to be on the plant as an operator/maintainer within the plant.

As a Maintenance Technician with Gold Fields, you can expect a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus a 6% site allowance and private health insurance allowance.
