About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Occupational Therapist and make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients to assess and develop strategies to improve their functional abilities and participation in daily activities.

You will also provide education and support to parents and carers to help them implement strategies that promote child development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and intervention services to clients using evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and support to parents and carers to promote child development and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote cultural responsiveness and inclusion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy with general registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
  • Ability to work in a culturally responsive and inclusive manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
  • Previous experience working in a community health and wellbeing setting.
