The Autism Association of WA is a leading For-Purpose Specialist Autism Service Provider in Australia, dedicated to empowering individuals with Autism to achieve their life goals.

We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Pathway Consultant: Disability Support Expert to join our Employment Services team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ($70,000 - $80,000 per annum) and extensive training opportunities.

About the Role

This role is responsible for building the capacity of NDIS participants to secure and maintain employment or volunteering roles. As an Employment Pathway Consultant, you will connect with our participants by coaching, capacity building, and developing them on their employment journey.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting formal assessments and implementing employment strategies to support participants in achieving their employment goals.
  • Creating and establishing pathways for our individuals via schools and other NDIS funded programs.
  • Couordinated job searches and job support activities with the assistance of job coaches.
  • Providing reporting as required, ensuring the successful delivery of employment services.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A strong understanding of the employment challenges faced by people with disability and experience working in a role that enables their employment.
  • High-level communication skills and dedication to the rights of people with disability.
  • Familiarity with NDIS plans and requirements and knowledge of School Leaver Employment Supports.
  • Passion to break down employment challenges and help job seekers reach their full potential.
