Job Opportunity: Leadership and Team Management

This is an ongoing, full-time position for a leader who can work with a passionate team in Corrections Victoria at Loddon Region Prisons.

About the Business Unit:

Corrections Victoria is responsible for managing and operating Victoria's prison system and Post Sentence Scheme. As a service agency within the Department of Justice & Community Safety, Corrections Victoria develops policies, programs and services to ensure safe and secure containment of prisoners, and seeks to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.

About the Role:

The Administration Team Leader supervises a team of Justice Officers in the Prison Services program area. The role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, problem-solving, monitoring and compliance.

Some key duties include:

  • Supervising and leading a team to ensure effective delivery of operational support, reception and administrative services for the Loddon Mallee Region
  • Providing leadership, mentoring, professional development and performance management, identifying training needs to develop staff capability and skills
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing levels to ensure uninterrupted and cost-effective services to the location

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. They should be able to supervise a team, provide guidance and coaching, and maintain a high level of integrity.
