Governance Support Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Governance Support Officer to join our team at Melton City Council. As a key member of our Governance Unit, you will provide administrative support across various functions, including governance, legal, integrity, and risk and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Governance Unit, including filing, data entry, document review, and word processing.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring information is up-to-date.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures.
- Assist with events led by the Business Unit, including school visits and Citizenship Ceremonies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Post-secondary qualification in administration (below diploma level) plus some experience in an administrative role.
- Demonstrated experience in operating a variety of Windows-based applications and databases.
- Ability to adapt to new situations, showing initiative in responding to challenging and competing work tasks.
- Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
