Disability Support Role

We are seeking individuals who can provide practical and emotional support to people with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and comfortably in their own homes.

About You as a Care Worker

We require our Care Workers to be reliable, committed, and empathetic individuals who possess strong communication and organisational skills.

  • A genuine interest in helping others
  • Versatility in hobbies such as sewing, arts, gardening, cooking, and scrapbooking
  • Experience in various outdoor pursuits and activities
  • A practical understanding of hygiene assistance and commitment of care
  • Enjoyment in social activities and one-on-one engagement
  • Understanding of physical limitations and a safe, sensible approach
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, sensitivity, and emotional stability
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to manage time and support clients
  • People who appreciate being with others and have a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to providing responsive and considerate care
  • Prioritising punctuality and reliability
  • Individual, family, and guardian needs prioritised
  • Flexible and adaptive communication skills
Qualifications Required for Success
  • Certificate IV in Disability or Diploma of Community Services or equivalent
  • A current National Police Certificate
  • Open Valid Driver License and your own, reliable vehicle
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • At least one year experience supporting someone with complex disabilities and behaviours of concern
  • Current First aid Certificate
  • Smart Phone and internet access
  • Physically capable of meeting the requirements of the role
  • Relevant visa or working rights in Australia
