Job Title: Graduate Teacher - English and Humanities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic graduate teacher to join our team as a Classroom Teacher - English and Humanities. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English and Humanities to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study in English and Humanities
  • Teach English and Humanities to students in a year level
  • Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas
  • Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
  • Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress
  • Implement effective student management consistent with the school charter
  • Work with a mentor to participate in professional development planning, implementation and reflection

Requirements:

  • Have completed their course requirements and graduated in the last 4 years
  • Not be employed as a teacher by the department at the time the advertised position is to commence
  • Be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
