Aeromedical Support Specialist

About the Role
CareFlight is seeking a dedicated Ground Support Officer to provide essential logistical support to our operations in the Northern Territory. This role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of aeromedical missions and base operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily briefings and ensure effective communication across teams.
- Assist with aircraft support, including cleaning, equipment replenishment, and patient offloading.
- Support medical crews with transportation and patient road transfers.
- Manage company fleet and maintain operational facilities.
- Handle essential deliveries and collections, including medical supplies.
- Assist with ad hoc missions, such as military deployments.
What You'll Bring
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer tasks, record-keeping, and minor maintenance.
- Physically capable of handling demanding tasks in challenging environments.
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to obtain an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Authority to Drive Airside (ADA).
- Working with Children's Card (also called Ochre Card) or ability to obtain.
- Comply with CareFlight's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) as required by CASA and may be subject to random workplace testing.
- Comply with CareFlight's immunisation & vaccination policy.
