**Job Description**

The role involves conducting inquiries into the deaths of Australian Defence Force (ADF) members, working as part of a team to gather evidence and provide reports.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Lead and oversee inquiries and investigations into deaths of all Defence members in line with regulations
  • Interview deceased member's next of kin, respondents, and witnesses in a trauma-informed manner
  • Provide evidence-based report writing
  • Manage sensitive and protected information gathered during death inquiries, investigations, and other related activities
  • Work collaboratively with team members, Defence staff, and other agencies and authorities
  • Build team capacity and set standards for service and quality
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
  • Experience in complex investigative and/or administrative assessments and inquiries
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and independently
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in evidence-based practices and sound decision-making
  • Commitment to accountability, values, and integrity
  • Experience or commitment to promoting and contributing towards building diverse teams
