We are Turner & Townsend, a leading global professional services company. Our Sydney team is expanding and we are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic Project Management team.

The successful candidate will gain invaluable experience working across various sectors and projects, including commercial/retail fit-out, tourism, commercial development, retail, health, education, and data centers.

Job Description:
  • Project Governance and Administration: Prepare and maintain project governance and administration documentation, ensuring compliance with T&T safety protocols.
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress and provide regular reports on project status to the project team and key stakeholders.
  • Program Development and Communication: Develop a project programme, monitor progress, and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks, implement mitigations, review, and amend as required to ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Support to Senior Project Manager and Project Director: Assist the Senior Project Manager and Project Director with tasks such as cost reporting, program service provider performance monitoring, risk register updates, quality assurance, and contractual work.
Requirements:
  • A recognised degree or equivalent qualification in a technical field: Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Cost Management, or relatable trade experience.
  • 1-4 years project management experience (ideally client-side/consulting).
  • Experience in the health sector is an added advantage.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills are essential; Primavera skills will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and writing skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to clients.

In this role, you can expect to earn approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
