About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Litigation Lawyer to join our Sydney Litigation team at Hamilton Locke.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive advice to officers and boards on matters related to corporate governance and general corporate governance.

Additionally, they will advise insolvency practitioners and conduct litigation related to restructures and insolvent entities, defend investigations and prosecutions brought by ASIC, and resolve shareholder oppression actions.

The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of legal experience, preferably in a commercial litigation team, and a genuine passion for disputes matters.

They will also possess an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, with the ability to work in a close-knit, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive advice to officers and boards on matters related to corporate governance and general corporate governance.
  • Advising insolvency practitioners and conducting litigation related to restructures and insolvent entities.
  • Defending investigations and prosecutions brought by ASIC.
  • Resolving shareholder oppression actions.
