Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to join our team at a globally renowned defence contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing network architectures for one of our prestigious aviation projects in Melbourne.
About the RoleThe Senior Network Architect will work closely with the system integration manager to explore solution spaces, define architectural concepts, and perform trade-offs. They will also be responsible for early validation of the architecture, including modelling and proof of concept activities to de-risk.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement network architectures for complex software-centric real-time systems
- Develop and maintain architectural frameworks and models
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with security standards and policies
- Manage and resolve conflicts and make collective decisions
- Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary integrated team environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Engineering, IT, or a related discipline
- At least 10 years' experience in similar positions on projects delivering complex software-centric real-time systems
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and architectural frameworks
- Experience in the ATM Domain and Air Traffic Management standards
- Demonstrated experience in the design of infrastructure and network architectures
- Demonstrated experience in the design of secure solution architectures
