Underwriting Support Specialist

Job Summary
As an Underwriting Administrator with Link Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of member transactions. This position is a 6-month fixed-term contract, offering a unique opportunity to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to funds, members, and key stakeholders, meeting strict service and quality standards.
- Complete daily processing within required service standards, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and maintain high-quality standards, achieving at least 98% quality of work across all aspects of the role.
- Process and complete various administrative tasks, including underwriting acceptances, declines, applications, and correspondence.
- Proactively follow up with members to obtain underwriting documentation, ensuring seamless processing.
- Update insurance details in relevant systems, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with insurers and third parties to finalize additional insurance coverage, as requested by members.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative, financial, and fund-specific procedures, minimizing risk to the business.
- Conduct quality reviews to minimize rework and maintain high-quality standards.
- Complete all member transactions across funds as required, meeting service standards.
- Participate in pre- and post-system enhancements, as needed, to improve processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Actively participate as a team member, providing support to other areas of the business as required.
- Comply with all company policies, values, and procedures, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Suggest and identify improvements to increase efficiency and quality standards across the business.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of superannuation legislation and administrative procedures, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality work.
- Sound understanding of financial information, with excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to think laterally.
- Experience in the financial services industry, with a good understanding of relevant superannuation legislation and industry knowledge.
- Desirable: RG146/ASFA qualification or relevant superannuation experience.
