Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our Indirect Tax Finance team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position.

About the Role

As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's tax strategy and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead GST Compliance Obligations: Oversee the preparation and review of ALDI's GST compliance obligations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Transition to Next-Generation BAS Software: Lead the transition to next-generation BAS preparation software, including process improvement during implementation.
  • Monitor Tax Legislation Changes: Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess impact on the business, and partner with key stakeholders where required.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide advice on business transactions and projects.
  • Maintain Tax Governance Framework: Maintain ALDI's strong tax governance framework, including monitoring and testing processes and controls.
  • Represent International Indirect Tax Expert Group: Represent the Australian interests of the International Indirect Tax Expert Group, familiar with the Indirect Tax related IT landscape and processes.
  • Drive Tax-Related Improvement Initiatives: Drive, manage, and effectively implement tax-related improvement initiatives, including process and control optimization and strategies.
  • Develop and Train Team Members: Develop and train team members and assist in providing training to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years Indirect Tax Experience: Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in indirect tax, particularly with GST.
  • Indirect Tax Experience in the Food Industry: Indirect tax experience in the food industry is highly regarded.
  • Team Player with Exceptional Stakeholder Engagement: A team player with an exceptional ability to engage with and support stakeholders.
  • Strong Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Adaptability and Time Management: Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and innovative work environment and strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical ideas to non-technical users.

Remuneration: Transparent tiered salary range of $154,400-$185,100, including Superannuation.
