About the Role
Ventia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Sydney Harbour Tunnel Operations Supervisor. This position will be based at our North Sydney site and will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team of Tunnel Control Room Operators, providing training, mentoring, and roster management. They will also be responsible for monitoring and controlling the operation of the Sydney Harbour tunnel using defined procedures and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team of Tunnel Control Room Operators, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the tunnel.
- Monitor and control the operation of the Sydney Harbour tunnel, identifying potential issues and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure that all Tunnel Control Room Operators have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other teams within Ventia to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident logs and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of tunnel operations and traffic management.
- Cert IV in Traffic Control Room Operations or equivalent qualification.
- NSW drivers license and white card.
- Emergency response training and First Aid certification.
