Job Title: Regional Sales Director

Gigamon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to fill the position of Regional Sales Director in Melbourne.

About the Role:

This is a direct sales position that requires identifying, qualifying, and capturing tactical sales opportunities that align with Gigamon's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales budgets and grow existing accounts.
  • Maintain a database of customers and enter interactions with customers in the Sales Force database.
  • Use available resources to develop effective sales calls and identify new opportunities.
  • Sell new and existing products, discover new opportunities, and secure incremental business.
  • Explore, identify, and communicate potential opportunities with Regional Business Managers and Product Managers.
  • Consistently perform effective sales calls throughout the assigned territory and close new business opportunities.
  • Attend trade and vendor shows and meetings as required.
  • Provide timely communication and follow-up to customers, consistently meet customers' expectations.
  • Provide pertinent market and competitive information to the organization.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to develop short and long-range strategies for product expansion.
  • Represent the Sales group on cross-functional teams interfacing with R&D, production, and manufacturing to develop new products or enhance existing products or product lines.
  • Research and analyze territories and the company's markets, competition, and product mix.
  • Provide innovative problem-solving approaches to enhance organizational capabilities.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of direct selling experience in the Networking or Network Security space.
  • Track record of success as a sales professional, with excellent consultative and solution-selling skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Reside in the region and have a track record of relationships with local major accounts and channel partners.
  • Experience with Sales Force and disciplined around forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, CIS, or related field preferred.
