Teacher - Mathematician

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics lessons to students in Year 7 to 10.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues alike. They will also possess strong leadership skills, with experience in leading or participating in projects or initiatives that promote academic excellence and student success.

As a member of our team, you will be expected to contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies, as well as participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Mathematics to students in Year 7 to 10
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in school-wide events and activities that promote student engagement and motivation

Requirements:

• Must hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights
• Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, with a fixed term contract of 3 years. The successful applicant will be required to work at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School.
