Teaching Opportunity in STEAM Education

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a STEAM teacher for years 7-12. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design and deliver engaging lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, fostering a holistic understanding of these subjects under the Victorian Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement hands-on projects that allow students to apply STEAM concepts in real-world scenarios.
  • Incorporate cutting-edge technology and tools into the classroom, such as robotics, coding, 3D printing, and digital media, to enhance the learning experience.
  • Develop and implement assessments that measure students' understanding and application of STEAM concepts.
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of lab equipment, materials, and resources necessary for STEAM education and ensure that all activities adhere to safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Hold a valid VIT registration.
  • CECV Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (or working towards).
  • Experience in VCE Maths advantageous.
  • Understanding of the Vic Curriculum and experience teaching in Vic/Australia.
  • Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree containing a teaching qualification, with further study an advantage.
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years from upper management.
