Be a part of a team that delivers world-leading genetics and genomics services. We are seeking an experienced Medical Scientist to join our team as a Grade 1 Medical Scientist in cytogenetics & genomics.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cytogenetic & genomic assays for clinical case analysis, supporting paediatric oncology through data analysis & reporting, contributing to quality, compliance & staff training in lab processes, and supporting campus efforts related to gender equity, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science and/or Honours
  • Eligible for a Graduate Membership of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists
  • A minimum of 36 months of employment in an IANZ/NATA accredited oncology cytogenetics laboratory
  • Demonstrable high level of technical competency in paediatric oncology cytogenetic technologies
  • Demonstrable experience and competence in the performance and understanding of a wide range of diagnostic tests or procedures
